Empire Dental Group Hosts the 6th Annual T.E.A.M. Turkey Giveaway to Support the Greater Charlotte Community.

Empire Dental Group proudly celebrated the success of The T.E.A.M.’s (Talented Empowered Aspired Men) 6th Annual Turkey Giveaway, held on November 16, 2025, at the practice’s Charlotte location. Now in its sixth year, this annual community outreach event has become a meaningful tradition—bringing together dental and medical professionals, volunteers, and local families for a day centered on service, generosity, and gratitude during the Thanksgiving season.

Each year, the T.E.A.M. Turkey Giveaway is designed to support families throughout the greater Charlotte area by addressing both immediate and long-term needs. The 2025 event delivered a powerful impact, providing more than $10,000 in free dental services, $5,000 in free medical services, and 220 Thanksgiving turkeys to families preparing for the holiday. With the support of 68 dedicated volunteers, Empire Dental Group once again demonstrated its commitment to health equity and community care beyond the walls of the dental office.

A Day of Care, Connection, and Community

Throughout the day, Empire Dental Group transformed into a welcoming hub of activity and compassion. Families were greeted by volunteers and guided through stations offering dental care, medical health screenings, and food distribution. For many attendees, these services represented access to care they may otherwise postpone due to financial or logistical barriers—making the event especially meaningful during a season focused on togetherness and giving.

The T.E.A.M. Turkey Giveaway reflects Empire Dental Group’s belief that healthcare is about more than treatment alone. By creating an environment rooted in dignity, trust, and accessibility, the event allowed families to feel supported not only physically, but emotionally as well. The combination of professional care and heartfelt service helped ensure that every guest felt seen, heard, and valued.

Medical Team

Special recognition goes to Dr. Victoria Ifedi, FNP, Dr. & Mrs. Josh Pyant (Anesthesiology), for leading health screenings, Michelle Ohonba, FNP, and A Victorious Health Services of Charlotte and Concord. Their dedication ensured attendees received quality medical attention and preventative evaluations in a welcoming and supportive setting.

Dental Team – Dentists

Empire Dental Group extends sincere gratitude to the dental providers who led clinical care throughout the day, including Dr. Jibri Muhammad (General Dentist – Lead Dental Faculty), Dr. Maurissa Lester (Pediatric Dentist – Lead Pediatric Faculty), and Dr. Jamaine Ifedi, who served as the event facilitator. Additional appreciation goes to Dr. James Parker Jr., Dr. Kelvins Okons, Dr. Stephanie Oboite, and Dr. Jada Graham, whose collaboration and professionalism allowed patients of all ages to receive compassionate, high-quality dental care.

Dental Hygienists

The event was further strengthened by the exceptional efforts of hygienists Mrs. Dawn Ifedi, RDH, Mrs. Sharissma Okons, RDH, and Mrs. Nafisa King, RDH, who played a vital role in delivering preventive services and educating patients on long-term oral health.

Dental Assistants

Behind the scenes and chairside, dental assistants Thirtsa Ishiari, Kimberly Caraball, Adonus McCrea, and Aniyah King ensured smooth operations throughout the event, supporting both patients and providers with efficiency and care.
